LNG Terminal in Świnoujście
The LNG Terminal in Świnoujście is a strategic investment managed by GAZ-SYSTEM. Commissioning the terminal provided Poland with access to liquefied natural gas (LNG) deliveries by sea from virtually any direction in the world. This enabled the diversification of gas supply sources and significantly strengthened the country's energy security.
The Terminal in numbers – our scale of operations
- 8.3 billion Nm³ of gas annually – terminal regasification capacity (dispatch to the transmission grid at a nominal rate of 856 thousand Nm³/h, and up to a maximum of 984 thousand Nm³/h).
- 500 thousand m³ of LNG – total capacity of three cryogenic „tank-in-tank” (full-containment) storage tanks.
- 2 - ship berths.
- 4 - LNG road tanker loading bays.
The terminal is a modern logistics center supporting the full operational cycle of liquefied gas:
- LNG unloading from tankers,
- process storage of LNG in cryogenic tanks,
- LNG regasification and gas transmission to the national transmission grid,
- LNG loading into road tankers and ISO containers,
- LNG loading onto vessels, including ship bunkering,
- transshipment, i.e., LNG transfer between two vessels.
