THE NEW MANAGEMENT BOARD OF GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.

The Management Board welcomed Tomasz Stępień who was appointed the President of the Management Board and Artur Zawartko who was appointed the Vice President thereof.
Stępień replaced Jan Chadam who resigned from the function of the President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. on 31 December 2015.
The Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders dismissed the following members of the Management Board: Dariusz Bogdan, Wojciech Kowalski and Sławomir Śliwiński. Tomasz Stępień - President of the Management BoardTomasz Stępień is a graduate from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University. Since 2008, he has worked in various positions at the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. During his employment with the company, he was responsible for co-ordination of the LNG terminal construction and owner supervision of the Polskie LNG company, and then he managed the analysis department. He took an active part in the work on the strategy of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Recently, he served the function of a project manager for the construction of an underground gas warehouse in salt domes. As a result of this work, in November 2013, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. was granted a concession by the Minister of Environmental Protection for geological exploration of rock salt deposits in the Damasławek salt dome in central Poland. In 2007-2008, he worked in Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A. at the Diversification Projects Department, where, among other things, he was responsible for the LNG terminal and Baltic Pipe construction projects. Earlier, in 2005-2007, he was a deputy director of the Department of Diversification of Energy Media Supply at the Ministry of Economy. Among other things, he was responsible for development of governmental documents concerning the natural gas sector and oil industry (“Policy for the natural gas industry”, “Policy of the government of the Republic of Poland for the oil industry”). At the Ministry of Economy, he was also responsible for supervision of implementation of those documents by the companies from the sector. He was responsible on behalf of the Ministry of Economy for the development of the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment for 2007-2013 in the area of energy security. He co-operated with companies from the natural gas sector in the implementation of natural gas supply diversification projects. He was a member of Supervisory Boards of Nafta Polska S.A. (Vice Chairman) and Biuro Studiów i Projektów Gazownictwa Gazoprojekt SA.Artur Zawartko - Vice-President of the Management Board
He is a graduate from the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology and two post-graduate courses of studies at the Warsaw School of Economics (Goodwill Management and Human Capital Development), as well as a participant of managerial courses at the Leon Koźmiński University and ICAN Institute. He served the function of the President of the Management Board of Przedsiębiorstwo Eksploatacji Rurociągów Naftowych „Przyjaźń” and the Vice President of the Management Board of Nafta Polska SA. A member of supervisory boards of a number of companies from the power and chemical sectors: Międzynarodowe Przedsiębiorstwo Rurociągowe “Sarmatia”, Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn SA (Chairman of the Board), Zakłady Chemiczne “Organika Sarzyna” SA (Chairman of the Board). A long-term, nominated employee of the Supreme Chamber of Control, where, among other things, he served the function of the Director of the Department of Strategy and of the Department of Professional Development Control Methodology.
During his professional work in higher managerial positions in joint-stock companies, he carried out processes of enterprise restructuring, transforming them into companies of a commercial character, focused on the preparation and implementation of a developmental strategy; he participated in the work of Inter-Governmental Working Groups negotiating international co-operation agreements in the power sector (Poland, the Ukraine, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia) and of working groups negotiating agreements between the following companies: PERN Przyjaźń with Uktransnafta (the Ukraine), State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (“SOCAR”), Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation Ltd. (“GOGC”), Klaipedos Nafta (Lithuania), regarding the accession to the MPR Sarmatia sp. z o.o. company. Within the framework of the work in the supervisory authorities of commercial companies, he was involved in privatization and restructuring processes of companies from the chemical sector.
