Offer of products that will be made available in yearly product auctions
On 5 July 2021 GAZ-SYSTEM has presented an offer of products available in the yearly product auction on the GSA platform and the RBP. GAZ-SYSTEM as the operator of the national transmission system and the operator of the Polish section of the Yamal-Western Europe transit gas pipeline system (hereinafter: Yamal gas pipeline) will offer the capacity of interconnections in yearly product auctions.
The auctions will start on 5 July 2021 at 9.00 (CEST) on two platforms used to book interconnection capacities. The capacity on the Polish-German border at the GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/ONTRAS and Mallnow points will be allocated via the RBP platform. The capacity at the remaining points of GAZ SYSTEM and GAZ-SYSTEM ISO interconnections will be offered on the GSA platform.
The market participants will be able to book the existing firm capacity in yearly products. Additionally, in the incremental capacity auction, the offer will cover 15 gas years from the scheduled date that this capacity is made available to market participants.
The auctions are conducted in accordance with the provisions of Commission Regulation (EU) 2017/459 of 16 March 2017 establishing a network code on capacity allocation mechanisms in gas transmission systems (CAM NC), which requires operators at points on interconnection with other transmission systems to offer standard products, i.e. capacity available for yearly, quarterly, monthly, daily, or within-day periods. The Network Code also requires operators to publish their product offers one month before the annual auction date. The gas year starts on 1 October 06:00 a.m. (CEST).
Market participants are invited to a webinar which will be held by GAZ-SYSTEM on 9 June 2021 at 11:00 am, to learn more on the details of the auction link to registration form. The first part of the webinar will focus on essential information on the annual product auction and the incremental capacity auction, while the second part will discuss the methodology for calculating the 2022 gas transmission charge rates and will present on the 2022 rates.
