October commercial summary: VERVIS and Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej Daszyna started to cooperate with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.’s new customers, Vervis M.Smoliński, R.Piotrowski sp.j. and Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej Daszyna Sp. z o.o., have been able to use the gas transmission service since October. Based in Włocławek, VERVIS has been operating on the Polish market for 25 years. At the beginning of its business activities, it operated exclusively in the wholesale and retail segments of liquid fuel trading. It currently also holds a license for electricity generation, which it produces in its own wind power plant of a capacity of 450 kW. VERVIS started conducting business in the wholesale and retail segments of electricity sales earlier this year and is planning to expand the scope of its operations to cover the gas segment. Our objective is to introduce an innovative energy product onto the Polish market, thereby combining all kinds of fuels sold by the company: liquid fuels, electricity and natural gas. Such a solution is a response to the expectations of our customers - points out Lesław Dobrzyński, Managing Director of Vervis M. Smolinski, R. Piotrowski sp. j. Przedsiębiorstwo Gospodarki Komunalnej Daszyna Sp. z o.o. provides communal services to the inhabitants and businesses of the Daszyna commune in the Łódzkie Voivodship. The company’s current activities encompassing, among others, the management of the water supply and sewage network, will shortly be extended to include the distribution of and trading in gas. PGK Daszyna Sp. z o.o.’s signing of a transmission contract with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. will enable the finalization of the project of building a natural gas distribution network that is being implemented by the Commune of Daszyna, which is very important to the local community, as well as the start of the process of replacing the previously used conventional energy resources with cheaper, safer and more ecologically-friendly fuel. It will bring quantifiable benefits to the residents of our commune, and will mean that this area will become more attractive to potential investors. The project will also contribute to a reduction in emissions of harmful substances from the combustion of coal or other solid fuels into the environment - emphasises Ryszard Wojciechowski, President of the Management Board of PGK Daszyna Sp. z o.o. 7.45 TWh of fuel was transmitted in October as a result of transactions on the gas exchange operated by TGE S.A and 21.95 TWh was transmitted as a result of transactions on the OTC market. Within the framework of the model contract proposed in the Transmission Network Code, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. signs transmission contracts with customers, which are supplemented with the allocation of a specific transmission capacity. This model helps flexibly respond to the transmission needs of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.’s customers and satisfy those needs in line with the entry-exit tariff.
