GIIP - freely accessible platform for publication of REMIT inside information passed the first assessment phase by ACER

On 20 November 2020, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) published an open letter aimed at supporting participants of the wholesale energy market in fulfilling the obligations under REMIT in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic. It addressed, among others, the issue concerning all participants of the wholesale energy market, namely publication of inside information on freely accessible platforms (so-called Inside Information Platforms - IIP).
In the aforementioned letter, ACER reminds that the Market Participants should implement ACER Guidance by 1 January 2021, that is select a freely accessible platform for publication of inside information (so-called Urgent Market Messages - UMM) published on the official list of platforms kept by the Agency. Due to the prolonged period of platform registration, ACER indicated that the market participants can use IIPs which positively passed the first phase of registration.
Currently, the GIIP awaits the completion of the second registration phase.
Information on the terms of use of the GIIP platform and the entities which are interested in the option of publishing the legally required REMIT inside information is available at https://www.gasinsideinformationplatform.pl/documents.html.
