GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. won a silver award in the category of large implementations in SAP Quality Awards competition 2012
SAP has announced the winners of SAP Quality Awards 2012 in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM SA achieved the highest ranking among Polish companies and won the silver award in Large Implementation Category for the implementation of the SAP ERP system. The project was implemented by S&T Services Poland.GAZ-SYSTEM is the second Polish company in the history of SAP Quality Awards to stand on the podium of this prestigious competition. A the same time, the Silver Winner award is the highest honour to have been awarded for the implementation of SAP in Poland.The implementation of the SAP ERP system in GAZ-SYSTEM was one of the largest and most comprehensive ERP projects carried out in our country in recent years. While granting the award, the SAP Quality Awards judging panel highlighted the "very clear determination of business objectives of the project, closely harmonized with the long-term strategy of GAZ-SYSTEM and excellent design procedures, the introduction of change management processes, the transfer of knowledge by means of e-learning tools and a coherent quality assurance system".
Also recognised was the excellent cooperation between GAZ-SYSTEM and its implementation partner S&T Services Poland. It was also stressed that the implemented SAP solution form the basis that supports the further development of the company, allows for better management of investments, optimised use of resources and alignment of management information across the dispersed field locations of GAZ-SYSTEM. The implementation of the SAP ERP system in GAZ-SYSTEM included the design, delivery and implementation of an integrated enterprise management system. The SAP Quality Awards competition was organized for the fourth time.
The judging panel comprises SAP specialists and independent experts in the field of business application implementations. The goal of SAP Quality Awards is to promote high-quality implementations and build knowledge on best implementation practices. Overall, prizes in this year's edition were awarded to nine projects from five countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Serbia and Slovakia. The awards were presented in three categories: large, medium and small implementation.
