GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has performed a review of its activities pursant to PN-ISO 26000 on management of corporate social responsibility
In accordance with the company’s business strategy up to 2020, sustainable development constitutes comprehensive support of business operations. Accordingly, the Board of Directors has appointed an ISO 26000 project team which, together with an external consultant, reviewed the principles of corporate social responsibility in every key area, including: organizational governance, human rights, labor relations, the environment, fair operating practices, customer relations, community involvement and community development.A complex diagnostic tool has been created for the purposes of work related to the analysis of social responsibility principles. This tool was used to specify the extent to which the activities have been implemented in each area. The work has resulted in the "Framework concept for implementing recommendations arising from the review of ISO 26000 for GAZ-SYSTEM SA", which contains a set of projects that need to be implemented by the company. The key initiatives concern the areas:
• Strategy and reporting
• Compliance policy
• Customers
• Environmental impact management
• Purchasing and relations with business partners
• Stakeholder involvement
The recommendations prepared under the review of ISO 26000 will be taken into account when updating the business strategy.
