The Supreme Audit Office positively assessed the company’s activities in the audited area. It arises from the report that GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. assures safety of the transmission network, as well as reliably manages and supervises the construction of new gas pipelines.

The report of the Supreme Audit Office confirmed that the company has “comprehensive, internally consistent and mutually interrelated internal regulations specifying in detail the principles of conducting servicing work on the gas pipelines used and their accompanying equipment” in force within the Transmission Network Operation System (TNOS). The reliability of compliance with the procedures is subject to regular internal audits and inspections conducted on time. The report simultaneously concludes that there is no correlation between the age of the gas pipelines operated and the number of failures. The operation of gas pipelines by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A assures the safety of gas transmission.
The report of the Supreme Audit Office also describes the results of the audit of agreements concluded in the investment process with the works contractors and the supervision contractors. According to the report, these agreements properly secure the conditions of safety of construction of new gas pipelines. It was also concluded that, in order to ensure the full safety of the construction work, all participants of the investment process, especially the construction works contractors, must strictly comply with the guidelines and procedures.
In this context, the Supreme Audit Office examined the accident that took place in 2013 in Janków Przygodzki. According to the Supreme Audit Office, “the Company reliably undertook and implemented multi-faceted activities to thoroughly identify the causes” of the incident. The report also confirmed the validity of the argument that the main reason for the accident was the failure of contractors to comply with the terms and conditions of performance of works in the vicinity of an active gas network.
