GAZ-SYSTEM again recognised as the Work Safety Leader
For the activities in the area of building work safety culture, GAZ-SYSTEM was awarded with Golden Card of the Safe Work Leader. The award was presented during the 21st Safe Work Leaders Forum in Wrocław that took place on 6-7 November 2018.- Prevention measures are particularly important for our Company. We established and have been successfully improving our H&S Academy, which is a program that protects our employees but also our environment – said Paweł Mońka, Director of Occupational Health and Fire Protection Division at GAZ-SYSTEM while collecting the recognition.
GAZ-SYSTEM engages in work safety, fire and occupational health protection campaigns. Their programmes include, among others, workshops, drills and demonstrations, which take place in strict cooperation with the Fire Brigade and contractors. In consideration of safety, the Company also develops educational materials that are addressed primarily to the employees, but also contractors, co-workers and students. In addition, this year we have held the 7th Tournament for the GAZ-SYSTEM President’s Cup in the category of first aid. As part of sharing good practice, the winning team represents the Company during a similar tournament for the gas and oil industry, which is also initiated and organised by GAZ-SYSTEM.„Work Safety in the 21st Century. 20 years of Safe Work Leaders Forum” is a two-day conference at which good practices are shared in the area of providing proper work environment and appropriate health and safety management. Practical aspects of work safety were discussed during group workshops and a technical visit in one of the enterprises located in Wrocław.The recognised companies received Safe Work Leader Cards. Depending on the outcomes accomplished in the field of work safety and employee health protection, leaders are awarded with Green, Silver and Golden Cards. 
During the conference, GAZ-SYSTEM presented the activities of the Gas Quality Measurement Laboratory (LPJG) in Podgórska Wola, which conducts, among others, physical-chemical testing of natural gas, research in the work environment and the noise gerenated by installations, appliances and industrial facilities. The laboratory also controls quality of natural gas.GAZ-SYSTEM has been a member of the Safe Work Leaders Forum (FLBP) since 2011. In 2012 the Company was awarded with the Green Safe Work Card, and in 2016 – with the highest award – the Golden Card, which is valid for two years. This year the Silver Card of the Safe Work Leader has been received by Polskie LNG, a company owned by GAZ-SYSTEM. FLBP currently brings together 142 enterprises, which represent good management of safe work culture. The organisation’s activities are coordinated by CIOP-PIB.
