GAZ-SYSTEM acquired PLN 140 million of subsidies for construction of another gas pipeline

Photo of the article Tworóg – Kędzierzyn-Koźle gas pipeline, being a section of the North-South Gas Corridor, is going to be financed with the funds from the European Regional Development Fund within the Operational Program Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020.
The co-financing agreement provided for this particular project was concluded by and between GAZ-SYSTEM and Oil and Gas Institute – the National Research Institute, on December 12, 2017. An anticipated total budget for the investment will reach ca. PLN 265 million. The subsidy equals PLN 140 million. 
In June 2017, GAZ-SYSTEM received relevant building permissions for construction works  of Tworóg – Kędzierzyn-Koźle gas pipeline, to be started off at the beginning of 2018. The venture is going to be completed in 2020.
The gas pipeline with the length of 43.4 km and the diameter DN 1000, is going to be built within Śląskie and Opolskie Provinces, in the communes of Tworóg, Wielowieś, Toszek, Rudziniec and Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The new unit will be connected to the gas pipelines, that are on the future construction list: Tworóg – Tworzeń and Zdzieszowice – Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
Tworóg – Kędzierzyn-Koźle gas pipeline along with related projects will constitute an essential pillar of the western line of the North-South Gas Corridor. This Corridor is meant to tie the LNG Terminal of Świnoujście and a designed Baltic Pipe, with a planned Adria LNG Terminal, based in Croatia
The European Commission had provided this investment with the PCI status back in 2013 and maintained it at two, subsequent lists, released in 2015 and 2017. An asset of this project will be increased transmission capacities within the region, elevated attractiveness of the land provided for new investments and enhanced security and diversify das deliveries to Poland. On the other hand, a crucial benefit to the local society will be the property tax equivalent to 2% off the value of the transmission infrastructure, located within the territory of a particular commune.
