Commercial summary of November: BARTER S.A. and KONERG S.A. new clients of the GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. transmission service
In November, agreements for the provision of transmission services by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. were signed by three new clients, dominated by enterprises operating in the sector of trade in power products – BARTER S.A. and KONERG S.A. In this way, the number of entities co operating with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. increased to 118 clients.
One of the companies which commenced its co-operation with GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. last month is BARTER S.A. which has been functioning in the Polish market since 1999. The basic profile of the company’s activity is constituted by sale and distribution of natural gas, coal, fertilizers and road salt. The company already operated in the natural gas segment, offering a service of LNG gas distribution through a network of its own cryogenic stations and direct deliveries to contractors. The enterprise had a distribution network covering the area of the whole country and a well-developed infrastructure which covers a transshipment terminal in Sokółka and LPG gas distribution centres in Barczewo, Bydgoszcz and Sokółka. BARTER S.A. addresses its services both to contractors from an industrial sector, entities selling liquid gas at petrol stations, as well as individual recipients which use LPG and LNG fuel as a source of energy.
BARTER S.A., which has a very well-developed logistic-warehouse infrastructure, successfully provides clients with power solutions based on LNG and LPG, and now it is additionally extending its offer by distribution of liquid gas through a network of gas pipelines. This is an element of the company’s strategy, assuming an extension of its business activity and a complex service of the fuel and energy market - emphasises Bogdan Rogaski, President of BARTER S.A.
Another company which decided to contract gas transmission services is KONERG S.A., which has been functioning in the domestic natural gas distribution market since 2015. The company’s offer is mainly addressed to business clients, both small and large enterprises using liquid gas for heating purposes or using this fuel in technological processes. Apart from sale of natural gas to final recipients, KONERG SA. is also conducting an activity in the field of electrical energy sale and distribution.In November 2015, as a result of transactions at the gas exchange operated by TGE S.A., 9.4 TWh of fuel was sent, which constitutes a value similar to the volume contracted at the exchange during an analogous period of the previous year (9.7 TWh). Within the framework of transactions in the OTC market, nearly 12.2 TWh of gas was transmitted last month, i.e. less than a half of the value of November 2014 (23.7 TWh).
