The company has been granted over PLN 86 million from the FEnIKS fund for the construction of the Nowe Tłoki–Sulechów gas pipeline.  The agreement was signed with the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute. The project spans the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces.

The investment project involves the construction of a high-pressure gas pipeline (8.4 MPa) of 300 mm in diameter, together with branches and necessary infrastructure traversing the following municipalities: Wolsztyn, Siedlec, Zbąszyń, Kargowa, Babimost, Sulechów, and Świebodzin with the overall purpose to replace the existing 150 mm diameter gas pipeline.

The new gas pipeline will increase the transmission network’s capacity in the region and enable new customers to be connected. An additional benefit for landowners will be significant reduction in the width of the controlled (protection) zone along the gas pipeline route. The pipeline under construction will require a 6-metre-wide restricted zone measuring 3 metres along either side of the pipeline axis, while the width of the present controlled zone is 40 m. Owing to this investment project implemented by GAZ-SYSTEM, more land will be released from limitations related with the pipeline’s protection zone and available for development.

The investment project has been divided into two stages:

Stage I:

  • construction of a 100 mm gas pipeline between LVS Zbąszyń and RMS Zbąszyń in the Wielkopolskie province,
  • construction of a 150 mm gas pipeline between LVS Kiełpiny and RMS Kargowa in the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces.

Stage II:

  • construction of a 300 mm gas pipeline between MS Nowe Tłoki and MA Krężoły, in the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces,
  • construction of a 100 mm gas pipeline between MA Krężoły and RMS Sulechów in the Lubuskie province,
  • construction of a 150 mm gas pipeline between LVS Łęgowo and RMS Świebodzin in the Lubuskie province.

The budgeted cost of the investment project set out in the grant agreement amounts to PLN 228,852,583.30. Construction work along the route of the first phase of the project was completed in October 2025. The second phase is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2027.

About the FEnIKS programme
The grant awarded for construction of the Nowe Tłoki – Sulechów gas pipeline amounts to PLN 86,139,759.95, whilst the maximum amount of eligible expenditure is PLN 115,298,835.43. The amount of funding depends on the value of eligible expenditure incurred, approved by the Managing Authority in accordance with the rules applicable under the FEnIKS implementation system. The Implementing Authority for the project is the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute based in Kraków.

The full name of FEnIKS programme is the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment 2021–2027 under the measure FENX.02.03 Energy Infrastructure, Priority II: Support for the energy and environment sectors under the European Regional Development Fund.

The FEnIKS programme is aimed to improve the conditions for the country’s development through the construction of technical and social infrastructure in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. The funds awarded under the programme are allocated to the development of low-carbon economy, environmental protection, as well as mitigation and adaptation to climate change. It is geared towards supporting the development of renewable energy sources, smart energy systems, and networks. Such deployment of EU funds is expected to strengthen the advancement of smart gas networks and increase their importance in a modern, green energy system.

A modern gas network, together with ancillary systems and equipment connected thereto will enable the integration of participants in production, transmission, distribution, storage, liquefaction, and regasification processes as well as trade in gaseous fuels, ensuring sustainable development of the region where it is located.

The European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021–2027 programme is a continuation of the former operational programme 'Infrastructure and Environment’ 2007–2013 and 2014–2020, addressing new challenges and priorities facing the entire Europe.
