GAZ-SYSTEM invests in bolstering energy security for the Warsaw metropolitan area

In response to increased demand for gas from commercial power producers and distributors, the Company intends to construct four new gas transmission pipelines of a total length of 60 km on the outskirts of Warsaw. Currently, GAZ-SYSTEM is starting the preparation of public procurement procedures for the selection of contractors for the construction works. The estimated CAPEX of all development projects in the Warsaw metropolitan area amounts to over PLN 400 million.
Reinforcing the security of energy supply to Warsaw is a comprehensive investment program comprising the commissioning of the new DN 700 Rembelszczyzna – Mory gas pipeline measuring approx. 28.5 km, and the construction of four new gas pipelines located in the capital city and several surrounding municipalities:- In order to meet the development needs of the Warsaw municipal area, we have just decided on the necessary expansion of our transmission network in the vicinity of the capital city of Poland. Owing to our investment projects, the energy transition will proceed smoothly and safely for residents. Based on reliable gaseous fuel which guarantees continuity of supply during periods of peak energy consumption, the renewable energy sector can be developed further as a substantial component contributing to improving air quality in the capital city and the surrounding municipalities, noted Sławomir Hinc, President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM.
- Gas pipeline DN 700 Stanisławów – Wola Karczewska measuring approx. 38 km,
