GAZ-SYSTEM and the GTSOU - Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine agreed to prolong the offered firm capacity at the exit point towards Ukraine (GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/UA TSO) by the following Gas Year 2025/2026 i.e. from 1st October 2025 until 30th September 2026.

The current technical and commercial conditions of the National Transmission Network functioning enable the provision of support to Ukraine by ensuring uninterrupted supply of natural gas. System interconnection with Ukraine offers up to 2.2 bcm/year (6 mcm/day) capacity towards Ukraine. The capacities not contracted under the previously offered products will be provided at the GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/UA TSO interconnection depending on the current transmission (firm) capacity available in yearly, quarterly, monthly, daily and intraday products until the end of the 2025/2026 Gas Year. The Yearly auction is scheduled to take place on 7 July 2025.

- Maintaining firm capacity at the interconnection point with Ukraine is possible owing to our well-developed transmission infrastructure and operational stability of our system. We are constantly striving to support Poland's neighbouring countries in diversifying their gas supplies using Polish gas transmission network, thereby increasing energy security of the region - said Sławomir Hinc, GAZ-SYSTEM CEO.

Diversification of gas supplies and fostering regional energy security has been achieved owing to the investment projects completed in recent years, such as the extensive development of the national network, expansion of the regasification capacity of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, and new interconnections with neighbouring countries.
