GAZ SYSTEM has completed technical acceptance of Goleniów-Ciecierzyce gas pipeline more than 30 days ahead of schedule. This makes the key onshore section of Baltic Pipe – 191 km long and stretching between Goleniów and Lwówek – ready for commissioning and gas filling.

The accepted pipeline crosses 10 communes in the Greater Poland and West Pomeranian Provinces. The technical acceptance was carried out (after obtaining positive results of pressure and geometric pig testing) a month ahead of the contractual schedule. A total of 18 leak and strength tests were performed. Commissioning is the next stage for this project.

Goleniów-Ciecierzyce is the Baltic Pipe section with the most trenchless crossings. In total, modern technologies such as jacking, drilling, microtunneling and Direct Pipe were used in 55 places to protect the existing local infrastructure and valuable natural areas. It was also on this line, under the Warta River, that the longest in Poland (over 1,400 m) Direct Pipe DN 1000 crossing has been accomplished. This method was also used under the Ina, Pełcz and Krąpiel rivers. The total length of all trenchless crossings along this section is nearly 5.8 km with almost 8 km along the entire pipeline route.
