The GTE+ TP Transparency Platform
Representatives of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. are involved in work on creating the GTE+ TP Transparency Platform that has been established to streamline the European energy market.
The GTE+ Transparency Platform was launched on 17 November 2008 within the GIE (Gas Infrastructure Europe) as well as the GTE+ (Gas Transmission Europe+) organisations. This system has been integrated with the Interactive Map of the European transmission system which has been available since January 2008.
The objective of the GTE+ Transparency Platform is to facilitate access to information and increase information flow by means of transmission system operators providing key information and data, thus leading to the greater transparency of the European energy market. The GTE+ system enables information retrieval and transfer regarding possible gas transmission routes between two selected points and any single point in the European gas transmission system.
GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. representatives are actively involved in creating the GTE+ Transparency Platform, taking part in the work of several work teams, including the GTE+ TP Project Team and the GTE IT Systems Team. One of the tasks of the Project Team was addressing and solving any problems resulting from discrepancies in the law and national standards as well as internal gas balancing principles implemented by the parties participating in this venture. The team was also involved in work on supplying the system with data concerning network typology, tariff rates or existing contracts pursuant to data transfer security principles of each operator as well as GTE+ TP requirements. The IT Systems team is supporting the creation of the Transparency Platform (TP) IT system by the standardisation of information exchange.
The GTE+ Transparency Platform is being constantly developed and expanded by new data resources and greater functionality with the use of new information exchange and presentation technologies.
