The GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Service Desk - a finalist in the "Support Leader 2010” HDI Poland Competition

The Competition chapter recognised the high skills and competencies as well as great work and involvement of the Service Desk in fulfilling the "Implementation of the incident management service system in the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. Company.” Our initiative received attention and distinction among the 20 + other IT projects submitted by IT organisations throughout Poland.
At the beginning of January 2011, the IT Division introduced a new incident service management system in the Company. The system streamlines the IT service registration and entry process performed by Company employees. It also enables a uniform, effective and transparent service to be provided by the IT Division for the benefit of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A employees. The implementation of the system has lead to the fulfilment of the model Service Desk solution with one central point of contact to be fulfilled. The project is one of the first steps in fulfilling the "Computerisation strategy of the Capital Group and the Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. for the years 2010 – 2014.” We will continue to strive to ensure that all our initiatives and implemented changes will be equally as successful," Andrzej Wojtaszek, Deputy IT Division Director, asserted.

All the entries reveal a high level of maturity of the support centres as well as the crucial role that they have played in the functioning of the parent organisations," Artur Sygnatowicz, Chairman of the Jury, commented during the formal gala of the "Support Leader 2010” Competition.
Our cordial congratulations go out to the entire Service Desk Team and all the employees of the IT Division who were involved in the fulfilment and implementation of the project. Special recognition goes to Grzegorz Włodek, who so admirably fulfilled the role of Project Manager in the implementation of the system and led the team to this great achievement.
