The Failure in Janków Przygodzki has been repaired
In the morning on 18 November 2013, technical services of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. repaired the damaged gas pipeline in Janków Przygodzki.Repair works on the gas pipeline, which was unsealed and where escaping gas was subject to ignition, started on Saturday, 16 November after the rescue action, the prosecutor's office investigation and the inspection of site by construction inspectors. Repair works consisted in stopping the gas pipeline tightly at both sides, cutting out the damaged pipeline section, and installing a new section. Gas pipeline fragments were taken by the prosecutor's office to make a specialised analysis in order to clearly define reasons for the gas pipeline being unsealed. Before gas transmission was restarted, the gas pipeline section was subject to technical tests. Gas transmission is fully safe both in the repaired section of 500 mm, as well as the 400 mm gas pipeline located in the neighbourhood. Gas transmission is monitored 24 hours a day by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. controllers. At present, the site is being cleaned.
