PGNiG SA has sufficient gas to meet entire demand in Poland

Photo of the article Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA and Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. would like to inform that on 3 February the imported gas is supplied in accordance with the nominations.
With the exception of temporary limits established under contracts for three industrial plants, all customers receive gas according to their demand.
Currently, daily demand of PGNiG customers for natural gas stands at about 70 million cm/day and is met in the following way: gas supplies from domestic sources stand at about 7.2 million cm/day, imported volume  - about 43 million cm, and the remaining volume comes from underground storage facilities.
Due to low air temperatures throughout Europe, PGNiG expects that some minor irregularities in gas supplies from the east might occur in the coming days.
Under the Minister of Economy’s decision of 2 February 2012 to launch the mandatory reserve of natural gas, any potential shortages can be covered by the reserve from underground gas storage facilities held by PGNiG SA, including the Mogilno Cavern Underground Gas Storage Facility.
PGNiG SA and GAZ-SYSTEM SA constantly monitor the situation and will provide current updates on gas supply and demand.
