New Tariff for Gas Transmission Services

Photo of the article On 17 December 2013, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office approved the new smaller Tariff for gas transmission servicessubmitted by GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. The gas transmission tariff No. 7 will be applicable as of 1 January 2014. 
An average price for the transport of 1000 cubic meters of natural gas under the new Tariff of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. dropped by 4.80 percent in comparison to the previous Tariff.

Similarly to the previous year, the gas transmission tariff No. 7 is an Entry-Exit tariff and was prepared on the basis of the Third Energy Package and Regulation No. 715/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The structure of Tariff No. 7 was also influenced by the enforcement of the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 28 June 2013 on detailed principles for the development and calculation of tariffs and settlements in gas trading.
In Tariff No. 7, indexes correcting a fixed fee for short-term (quarterly and monthly) agreements was reduced again, which, from the transmission network user’s point of view, will decrease service costs.
 
Given the new Regulation of the Minister of Economy of 28 June 2013 on detailed principles for the development and calculation of tariffs and settlements in gas trading under which the Company must shift from volume units (cubic meters) into energy units (kilowatt-hours) starting from 1 August 2014. The transmission service tariff No. 7 of the Gas Transmission Operator will come into force as to 31 July 2014.
