GSA Platform is fully compliant with the CAM Network Code regulations

Photo of the article GSA Platform reached full compliance by the implementation of the required functionalities from Commission  Regulation  (EU)  No  984/2013  establishing  the  Network  Code on Capacity Allocation Mechanisms in Gas Transmission Systems (NC CAM). Capacities at the cross-border interconnection points are allocated via capacity booking platforms starting from November 1st, 2015.

The GAZ-SYSTEM Auctions Platform was established by the Polish transmission system operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A., for the purposes of offering capacity in accordance with the NC CAM and provide undisrupted services since 2014. In supporting the development of a single gas market in Europe, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is harmonizing the rules and regulations in its network codes to enable the emergence of a liberal gas market in Poland with a diversified structure of suppliers.  The Company combines the operation of two natural gas transmission systems on a day-to-day basis, which it why it is a pioneer in the implementation of the solutions of the European network codes in Central and Eastern Europe and it has a good understanding of the need to support Shippers in building their portfolios of natural gas supplies. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. has taken steps to encourage network users to use the modern tools available on the gas market, safely transferring the principles of the European network codes to the day-to-day work of operators and Shippers.

On October 28th, 2015 Polish TSO - GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. and Czech TSO – NET4GAS s.r.o. concluded an agreement for the permanent use of the GSA Platform, which is aimed at conducting bundled auctions on PL-CZ border on IP Cieszyn, which will be conducted at GAZ-SYSTEM Auctions Platform (auctions.gaz-system.pl).
