GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. engages in a dialogue with the providers of engineering services and building contractors
On 5 and 6 May, 2014, GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. organised meetings concerning the expansion of the transmission system and the contractor's role in this process, inviting the representatives of engineering services companies and building contractors. The meeting was conceived as an interactive platform for the exchange of views and experience aimed at the definition of optimised cooperation standards.The plans for the expansion of the GAZ-SYSTEM's transmission system until 2023 were presented. The discussion focused on the role of contractors in the investments process, starting from the moment when the bid is presented as part of the procurement process until the project completion, as well as on the specific requirements with regard to work safety and fire protection and the communication with local communities.
“The meetings were attended by nearly 100 potential contractors, including not only Polish but also foreign companies. Thereby GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. initiated a dialogue with contractors with a view to launching the procurement of contracts planned until 2023.” – said Anna Bednarek, Director of the Procurement Division.GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is aware of its influence on the contractor market and the development of business standards in its environment. Therefore, to demonstrate its commitment to the quality of business relationships and promote good practices, the company took a proactive approach to shaping long-term relations with potential contractors and building a responsible supply chain.
