First investor deliveries for the expansion of the LNG Terminal
GAZ-SYSTEM received the first delivery of the key equipment for the new SCV regasification units in the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście. Coils, where flowing liquefied natural gas changes its liquid state into gas, arrived at the terminal. The delivery was arranged according to schedule. Next lots of equipment deliveries, necessary for the Terminal expansion, are scheduled for the coming weeks and will include blowers, followed by burners, HP pump suction tank pressure vessels. The expansion of the LNG Terminal is split into in 2 stages. Stage I covers two new regasification units (to the five existing ones) and cryogenic pumps, which will increase the functionalities and technical capacity of the terminal. Key equipment was ordered by the investor in October and November 2019. The completion date for the expansion is late 2021. 
Stage II covers the construction of a third tank (slightly larger than the two existing tanks - featuring a capacity of 180 thousand m3) and a second jetty with a ship station for unloading, loading and bunkering LNG. The construction phase in stage II of the extension is planned for launch in the first quarter of next year. The work should be completed in December 2023. ____________ The expansion of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście is included in financing under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020, PRIORITY: VII, MEASURE: 7.1 under the project: “Expansion of the functionalities of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście”.
