The company has awarded four contracts for the supply of pipes and bends for the construction of gas pipelines in Mazovia region. In two tender procedures, the most favourable bids were submitted by Polish suppliers: IZOSTAL, FERRUM and ZRE KATOWICE S.A. In the other two, the bids from the Spanish manufacturer NOKSEL ESPAÑA were selected.

By involving Polish companies in the implementation of those contracts, the expansion of the transmission infrastructure directly benefits from local industry expertise. Among the selected suppliers are enterprises connected to both the Polish steel sector and the manufacturing of specialized gas infrastructure components.

The materials covered by the contracts will be used in two key projects implemented by GAZ-SYSTEM in Mazovia: gas pipeline providing gas supplies to the gas-fired power plant in Kozienice, and the Warsaw Pipe, that is high-pressure gas pipeline spanning Stanisławów and Wola Karczewska. Both projects will reinforce the region’s transmission infrastructure while expanding gas transport capacity in Mazovia.

Polish companies in the supply chain for GAZ-SYSTEM projects

In its role as the contracting entity, GAZ-SYSTEM provides transparent and predictable conditions throughout the procurement process, whilst acting in strict compliance with public procurement law, applicable EU regulations and the principles of fair competition, thereby ensuring that all bidders can compete effectively for contracts. Nevertheless, the selection of the contractor is determined by the most economically advantageous tender that satisfies the criteria of the relevant procedure.

Owing to their extensive expertise and experience, Polish companies successfully participate in the implementation of GAZ-SYSTEM's strategic investment projects, competing on a level playing field with other market participants. In 2025 and in the first half of 2026, as many as 97 per cent of all procurement contracts were concluded with Polish companies. Local manufacturers also provided 100 percent of the piping required for the onshore component of the FSRU Program, while 97 percent of the construction and installation work was implemented by Polish contractors.

GAZ-SYSTEM plans to allocate approximately 6 billion zlotys to the execution of nearly 800 infrastructure projects between 2026 and 2028. This creates additional opportunities for Polish contractors, manufacturers, suppliers, design engineering firms, and specialized businesses collaborating on the expansion of the domestic transmission infrastructure.
