GAZ-SYSTEM supports eco-friendly projects initiated by local communities - we are launching yet another edition of the Natural Energy Fund
The 16th edition of the grant programme, supporting eco-friendly projects on the local level, is now open. Local authorities, educational institutions, associations and foundations can apply for grants to implement eco-friendly projects. In this year’s edition of the Natural Energy Fund, GAZ-SYSTEM will allocate as much as PLN 300,000.00 investing in activities that have a tangible impact on improving the quality of the environment and the residents’ lives.
From idea to action – choose one of four categories– The Natural Energy Fund is an example of a programme that has been successfully engaging local communities in activities aimed at protecting the environment and promoting eco-education for years. We are seeing growing interest of local authorities, schools and community organisations in projects that not only address local needs but also foster a sense of responsibility for the environment. This year’s edition offers further support for initiatives that combine education with practical actions to protect nature and improve the residents’ quality of life – said Agnieszka Głośniewska, Director of the Corporate Communications and Marketing Division and spokesperson for GAZ-SYSTEM.
Applicants may submit project proposals in one of four categories:
- Green workshops – creating spaces for environmental education by means of hands-on experiments, practical activities and the pursuit of individual interests, while making use of proper infrastructure and equipment.
- Dream gardens – landscaping green spaces to facilitate nature observation and exploration, e.g. nature trails and community gardens or parks, in conjunction with activities to engage local residents.
- Trees close to us – planting trees and shrubs in cooperation with, amongst others, forest inspectorates, including the purchase of seedlings and the actual planting.
- Educational campaigns – information initiatives promoting environment and climate protection within the communities, while reducing the use of disposable materials.
