‘GAZ-SYSTEM for Safety’ Nearly PLN 1.5 million in support for Volunteer Fire Brigades
The programme is intended for Volunteer Fire Brigades operating in areas where GAZ-SYSTEM’s transmission infrastructure is located or where its strategic energy investment projects are being implemented. The funds may be used in particular to purchase rescue and fire-fighting equipment, protective gear, as well as for training and competence development of volunteer firefighters.
- Cooperation between the state, strategic companies and emergency services is of fundamental importance for building the country’s resilience to emergency situations. The recent dramatic forest fires in the Lublin region have shown just how much effort and self-sacrifice is required of firefighters in their daily service. I would like to thank everyone who spent many hours fighting this dangerous force of nature in extremely difficult terrain. Such situations remind us that modern equipment, proper gear and systematic support for Volunteer Fire Brigades are very much needed today. All forms of assistance, including the programme run by GAZ-SYSTEM, translate directly into the success of rescue operations and the safety of residents – emphasised Miłosz Motyka, the Minister for Energy at a press conference.
Between 2023 and 2025, GAZ-SYSTEM already donated nearly PLN 2.5 million to support Volunteer Fire Brigades. With this year's edition of the programme, the total assistance will increase to nearly PLN 4 million. The company has announced that it will continue the programme in the coming years.- We are committed to strengthening the capacity and readiness of Volunteer Fire Brigades, as well as to building lasting cooperation and good relations with local communities. Volunteer Fire Brigades play a key role in crisis situations. Not only are they an essential part of the rescue system, but they are also the linchpin that brings local communities together. The ‘GAZ-SYSTEM for Safety’ programme demonstrates that the development of strategic energy infrastructure can go hand in hand with supporting the people who, on a daily basis, safeguard the lives, health and property of the local residents – added Adam Bryszewski, Vice-President of GAZ-SYSTEM.
What support is GAZ-SYSTEM offering?
