GAZ-SYSTEM Group publishes its 2025 Sustainability Report
The document has been prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and presents the activities of GAZ-SYSTEM and Gas Storage Poland.
- Energy security remains the cornerstone of GAZ-SYSTEM’s operations. At the same time, we are consistently pursuing our environmental, social and governance objectives, integrating them into the company’s day-to-day operations. 2025 was the first year of full implementation of our ESG Policy, and the achievement of over 70% of the objectives planned for 2025–2027 confirms the effectiveness of the direction we have taken. In the coming years, we will continue to support the energy transition, mitigate the environmental impact of our operations and develop the highest standards of corporate governance – said Sławomir Hinc, President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM.
The GAZ-SYSTEM Group has decided to compile the report on a voluntary basis. The obligation of ESRS-compliant reporting will apply to the Group starting with the 2027 financial year.– The Strategy of Gas Storage Poland for the years 2026–2030, with an outlook until 2035, sets out targets to be achieved across all three areas – environmental, social and governance. We have calculated our carbon footprint for the first time, and this guides us in planning investment projects so as to minimise the impact of storage infrastructure on the natural environment – commented Karina Szostak, President of the Management Board of Gas Storage Poland.
The report was prepared based on the results of a double materiality assessment, which identified key ESG issues both from the perspective of the Group’s impact on the environment and the impact of sustainability factors on its business operations. The Report presents the actions taken and results achieved in 2025 in areas critical to the energy transition, environmental impact mitigation and the development of the market for renewable fuels. It also describes practices aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and occupational safety, cooperation with local communities and gas market participants, and outlines the Group’s approach to managing cybersecurity, information security, ethics, counteracting corruption, whistleblower protection and relations with suppliers.
