Information about the gas pipeline accident in Janków Przygodzki
At 13:35, a controller in Kalisz informed about calls on a gas pipeline accident from inhabitants of Janków Przygodzki. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. notified all rescue services. The 5.4 MPa gas pipeline of 500 mm at the Gustorzyn – Odolanów section constructed in 1977 was broken. At 14:40, natural gas supply to the site of the accident was separated in order to supply gas to recipients located in the surrounding area.GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. immediately called a crisis centre, which is in touch with all rescue and technical services. The Wielkopolskie Crisis Management Centre and Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Branch in Poznań are informed on a current basis. During the accident, gas was supplied to recipients and no breaks in gas supply are planned. GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. is in touch with PGNiG S.A. and the Warehousing System Operator in case it is necessary to change supply network directions in order to carry on gas supply to recipients.The accident took place in the construction site of the new Gustorzyn – Odolanów gas pipeline, but the gas pipeline has not been put into operation yet and has not been filled with gas.A representative of Directors and maintenance staff of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. arrived at the accident site. The Company has started arranging aid for evacuated persons.Directors and employees of the Company give condolences to the Families of accident Victims.
