Wojciech Szelągowski appointed member of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM S.A.

Wojciech Szelągowski began his career in 1990 as a member of the group forming Polski Bank Rozwoju S.A., an innovative financial institution which aimed to support the development of the market economy in Poland. He participated in the privatization of FSM, one of the largest Polish automotive companies, which was acquired by Italian FIAT.
 
In 1993, he joined the consulting company Arthur Andersen. Between 1995 and 2001 he worked as a project finance manager at ABN AMRO. In 2001 he became Vice-president, Finance at Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG). He was responsible for arranging the company’s financing, including the issue of Eurobonds. He participated in negotiations of trade contracts concerning gas supplies with such companies as DONG (Denmark) and Statoil (Norway). From August 2002 to June 2003 he acted as Director of Group Finance Department at Telekomunikacja Polska. Between 2003 and 2006 he was engaged in corporate banking at HSBC Bank Polska. Between 2006 and 2008 he acted as Vice-president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIZ), where he was responsible for foreign investor relations and negotiations. From 2008 onwards he ran his own consulting business.
 
Wojciech Szelągowski is a graduate of law from John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. He also holds an MBA diploma awarded by the University of Minnesota and the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw.  He has completed numerous courses in accounting, financial analysis, capital markets and management.
