GAZ-SYSTEM Corporate Group published its 2024 Sustainability Report

In its Sustainability Report, GAZ-SYSTEM Corporate Group presents the undertakings of GAZ-SYSTEM and Gas Storage Poland with regard to environment, society and corporate governance in 2024. For the first time, the review of corporate activities and results has been prepared on the basis of new ESR Standards (European Sustainability Reporting Standards) following from the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Accounting Act.

As part of its preparations for new reporting obligations in the area of sustainable development, GAZ-SYSTEM Corporate Group (GAZ-SYSTEM) has developed its first voluntary sustainability report. The document presents an overview of internal processes and policies, key risks, opportunities and impacts, as well as measures, actions and targets concerning the issues identified in the process of double materiality assessment as particularly important for GAZ-SYSTEM Corporate Group and its stakeholders.
 

- The year 2024 was a period of intense work and new challenges for our company in connection with sustainable development. It was also a jubilee year, in which we celebrated the 20th anniversary of GAZ-SYSTEM. We are proud of all that we have achieved over these two decades and want to continue our dynamic growth as a leader in integrating energy market players and initiating changes in this economy sector. In line with our objective to provide reliable and transparent information about our activities, we have addressed the challenge of developing an annual report based on new regulations and well in advance of the legal requirements, emphasised Sławomir Hinc, President of the Management Board of GAZ-SYSTEM.

The report was based on double materiality assessment (DMA) process conducted in late 2024 in order to determine a list of key risks, opportunities, and impacts, allowing the company to identify the principal matters from the perspective of its stakeholders. For the first time and with the focus on the report, GAZ-SYSTEM calculated taxonomic indicators and greenhouse gas emissions for 2024 in three areas. In order to define relevant topics in the context of sustainable development, a survey and dialogue sessions with GAZ-SYSTEM stakeholders were conducted in 2024.

The publication of the 2024 Sustainability Report is not mandatory. In accordance with the Accounting Act amended in 2025, the first mandatory Sustainability Report of GAZ-SYSTEM Corporate Group will cover the data for 2027.
