GAZ-SYSTEM supports eco-friendly projects initiated by local communities - we are launching yet another edition of the Natural Energy Fund

The 16th edition of the grant programme, supporting eco-friendly projects on the local level, is now open. Local authorities, educational institutions, associations and foundations can apply for grants to implement eco-friendly projects. In this year’s edition of the Natural Energy Fund, GAZ-SYSTEM will allocate as much as PLN 300,000.00 investing in activities that have a tangible impact on improving the quality of the environment and the residents’ lives.

‘GAZ-SYSTEM for Safety’ Nearly PLN 1.5 million in support for Volunteer Fire Brigades

The programme is intended for Volunteer Fire Brigades operating in areas where GAZ-SYSTEM’s transmission infrastructure is located or where its strategic energy investment projects are being implemented. The funds may be used in particular to purchase rescue and fire-fighting equipment, protective gear, as well as for training and competence development of volunteer firefighters.

Strengthening the protection of strategic energy infrastructure

In an era of hybrid threats, disinformation and global changes, the protection of critical infrastructure is becoming one of the cornerstones of national security. Unmanned aircraft systems and cyber defence have a key role to play here. Drones used to monitor the infrastructure and the development of cybersecurity systems are also an important part of the new joint initiative of GAZ-SYSTEM and the Territorial Defence Forces (TDF).

Incremental capacity project at the Poland–Ukraine border approved by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office approved the incremental capacity project for market areas at the border between Poland and Ukraine. This decision paves the way for an incremental capacity auction at the GCP GAZ-SYSTEM/UA TSO point, scheduled to take place on 6 July 2026 on the GSA Platform.

GAZ-SYSTEM for Safety – supporting the fire service

The TBM has reached Górki Zachodnie. It will bore a tunnel for the offshore gas pipeline to connect the FSRU Terminal

On 30^th April, the tunnel boring machine (TBM) reached Górki Zachodnie, where it will be used to prepare an over-kilometre-long microtunnel for the section of offshore gas pipeline to be constructed for the FSRU Terminal. The tunnel will run under the coastal forest, the dunes, the beach and the seabed of the Gulf of Gdańsk. This is yet another important step in the construction of the offshore component of this GAZ-SYSTEM's investment program, which is of strategic importance for Poland’s energy security.

A new gas pipeline in Lower Silesia in prospect - another GAZ-SYSTEM investment project was awarded EU co-financing

The company was granted PLN 10 million in support from European funds for the construction of the Kotowice-Krzeczyn gas pipeline. The new infrastructure in Lower Silesia province will enhance the security of gas supply in the region.

The company is the first in Europe to undergo the certification procedure in this area, securing confirmation of compliance with EU regulations. GAZ-SYSTEM’s hydrogen projects included in the EU PCI List

Consultation on the 2027–2036 development plan for transit gas pipeline system in Poland

GAZ-SYSTEM has launched consultation on the draft National Ten-Year Development Plan for Transmission System in 2027–2036 regarding the Polish section of the Yamal–Europe gas infrastructure. The plan is intended to ensure security and provide necessary adjustments to the system to meet the growing demand for gaseous fuels.

Additional support from EU funds for GAZ-SYSTEM’s investment project

The company has been granted over PLN 86 million from the FEnIKS fund for the construction of the Nowe Tłoki–Sulechów gas pipeline. The agreement was signed with the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute. The project spans the Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie provinces.

Launching the FSRU 2 Open Season Procedure

The registration of entities interested in participating in GAZ-SYSTEM Open Season procedure is now open. It is aimed at enabling market participants to confirm their interest in long-term capacity booking, and the results will constitute a basis for the investment decision and possible construction of the second vessel - namely the FSRU 2 - in the LNG Terminal in Gdańsk.

GAZ-SYSTEM is launching consultations on the first draft of the National Ten-Year Development Plan for Hydrogen Transmission Network over the period from 2026 to 2035. In a dialogue with stakeholders, GAZ-SYSTEM, as the hydrogen transmission network operator in Poland, intends to design hydrogen network accessible to all market participants concerned. The document aims to define the main directions for the development of the hydrogen transmission network in Poland and to outline connections with the emerging hydrogen infrastructure in Europe.

A complete set of location decisions issued for an important gas pipeline in Central and Eastern Europe

GAZ-SYSTEM revealed the route of the largest investment project under construction in southern Poland. Two gas pipelines measuring over 280 kilometres will support the integration of the national transmission system with three system interconnections at the border with Lithuania, Slovakia, and Ukraine. They will also enable transport of gaseous fuel imported via the FSRU terminal being constructed in the Gulf of Gdańsk towards the south regions of Poland.
