Consultations on the first National Ten-Year Development Plan for Hydrogen Transmission Network 2026-2035

GAZ-SYSTEM is launching consultations on the first draft of the National Ten-Year Development Plan for Hydrogen Transmission Network over the period from 2026 to 2035. In a dialogue with stakeholders, GAZ-SYSTEM, as the hydrogen transmission network operator in Poland, intends to design hydrogen network accessible to all market participants concerned. The document aims to define the main directions for the development of the hydrogen transmission network in Poland and to outline connections with the emerging hydrogen infrastructure in Europe.

Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor - Call for Interest

The European Commission has entered two GAZ-SYSTEM initiatives on the latest list of European Union Projects of Common Interest (PCI) published on 1 December 2025. It means that the following three key investment projects in the field of hydrogen have been recognised: the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor and the Pomeranian Green Hydrogen Cluster.

The President of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) granted GAZ-SYSTEM a derogation from mandatory unbundling of activities related to the transmission of gaseous fuels until 30 June 2039. The decision of the Energy Regulatory Office means that GAZ-SYSTEM will be authorised to pursue activities related to the development of hydrogen transmission network in Poland within the existing corporate structure, i.e. as a single legal entity, without the need to establish independent organisational operators for natural gas transmission and hydrogen transmission.

Pre-Feasibility Study for the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor has commenced

The European Gas Transmission System Operators: Gasgrid Finland (Finland), Elering (Estonia), Conexus Baltic Grid (Latvia), Amber Grid (Lithuania), GAZ-SYSTEM (Poland) and ONTRAS (Germany) participating in the international project for the creation of the Nordic-Baltic Hydrogen Corridor signed a contract for the preparation of pre-feasibility study on the green hydrogen corridor. AFRY Management Consulting, the tender winner, will analyse the conditions for the development of cross-border hydrogen infrastructure from Finland, through the Baltic countries and Poland to Germany, as well as green hydrogen trends in the region. It is planned that the study providing a comprehensive, fact-based framework to allow the optimal decisions to be made, will be prepared in six months, i.e. by mid-2024.
