Gustorzyn Gas Compressor Station
- capacity of compressor station after expansion: in the first stage 20 MW, final 30 MW
Due to the operating characteristics of the transmission system and the planned increase of gas supply volumes from the northern direction, the gas compressor station in Gustorzyn is an essential element of the Gas Interconnection Poland-Lithuania (GIPL) project and an important part of the Baltic Pipe project.
Project status:
- The investment has been completed.
Project route and location:
The investment was located in Brześć Kujawski municipality, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.
The facility’s role is to enable the flow of gas volumes from, among other countries, Norway (Baltic Pipe) to the compressor station and then directing this stream towards, among others, Lithuania (GIPL). Thanks to the construction of such facilities as the gas compressor station in Gustorzyn, GAZ-SYSTEM will be able to flexibly control gas flows and transport the fuel to customers throughout Poland as well as to neighbouring countries.
The municipality where the project was implemented will get a substantial benefit in the form of revenue from the property tax to be paid annually by GAZ-SYSTEM.
The project was implemented on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 24 April 2009 on investments in regasification terminal for liquefied natural gas in Świnoujście (for consolidated text see Journal of Laws of 2021, item 1836).
The investment has received funding from the European Union under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme.
The maximum amount of co-financing under the agreement was nearly 32 million Euro.
The European Commission has granted the PCI (Project of Common Interest) status to the project. More information on the significance of the PCI status for the development of gas transmission infrastructure can be found in the dedicated section on PCI projects.
While implementing its investment projects GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. respects the rights of all interested parties. You are encouraged to send comments and questions concerning any project which was granted the PCI status using the Form for questions and comments concerning the implementation of projects with PCI status by GAZ- SYSTEM.
